Lakeshore crash victim passes away

The Ontario Provincial Police is reporting that the young driver whose vehicle crashed in Lakeshore on Tuesday has died.

Police the 18-year-old from Lakeshore was taken to the hospital early Tuesday morning in serious condition after his vehicle drove into a culvert on Myers Road south of Essex County Road 42. He had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and succumbed to his injuries.

Myers Road was closed for the investigation for approximately three hours.
