More speeders pulled over in Windsor

Two more drivers accused of stunt driving in Windsor have been charged, including one allegedly going double the speed limit on a residential street.

Windsor police said the drivers were pulled over within an hour of each other on Friday night. Police said a 2003 brown Toyota was spotted travelling at 154 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on EC Row Expressway near Dominion Boulevard. A 36-year-old Windsor man is charged.

Then, a 2016 grey Jeep Cherokee was clocked doing 118 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Ouellette Avenue in front of Jackson Park. A 25-year-old Windsor man is charged.

Both vehicles were impounded and both drivers had their licences were suspended for seven days. One of the drivers was not the registered owner of the vehicle.

Police ask the public to call 911 if they see street racing, an impaired driver, or other driving behaviour that poses an immediate risk to public safety.

No names have been released.
