One hospitalized after collision in Windsor

At least one person has been injured following a crash in Windsor Saturday afternoon.

Windsor police say it happened around 2 p.m. at Howard Ave. near Eugenie and it involved a vehicle and a motorcycle. It was not immediately clear how the crash took place.

Police say the motorcycle rider suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries from the waist down and was rushed to hospital.

Callers to the BlackburnNewsWindsor.com newsroom said that traffic is still slow through the area as police try to determine how the collision happened. Police said via Twitter soon before 3 p.m. that eastbound Eugenie St. E. at Howard remained closed, as did the southbound turning lane.

The intersection was reopened to traffic shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
