The local public school board has a new leader.
The trustees of the Greater Essex County District School Board have elected Windsor Trustee Jessica Sartori as their new chair for the next year. Sartori was elected at the board’s annual inaugural meeting Tuesday night when leadership and committee structures are established for the year.
It’s her first time leading the board. She has served as Chair of the Education Committee for the past two years.
Kingsville/Essex Trustee Julia Burgess was elected vice-chair. Burgess has been a trustee for 18 years and is a former chair of the board.
