Spitfires shoot down Rangers 3-0

The Windsor Spitfires shutout the Kitchener Rangers 3-0 on Friday.

Curtis Douglas and Cody Morgan scored back-to-back goals in the first period to give Windsor a 2-0 lead.

After a scoreless second frame, Tyler Angle scored another answered goal for the Spitfires 8:01 into the third to cap off the win.

Spitfires goalie Kari Piiroinen made 34 saves in the shutout victory.

The Spitfires return home on Saturday to face off against the Sarnia Sting. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. at the WFCU Centre.
