UPDATE: Multi-vehicle collision closes EC Row at Banwell

The E.C. Row Expressway is open again in both directions after a frightening collision Monday afternoon.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Windsor police said the expressway was closed between Lauzon Pkwy. and Banwell Rd. after several vehicles collided.

Several ambulances were dispatched to the scene and at least three people were taken to hospital with injuries ranging from serious to life threatening.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, the road was closed, and Windsor police collision investigators were on scene to determine how the crash took place.

It reopened in both directions around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
