Police are investigating a motorcycle crash in Lakeshore that has left one person dead.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Thursday shortly before 6:40pm, a motorcyclist struck a telephone pole on East Ruscom River Rd. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcyclist's gender and name will not be released until the next of kin have been notified.
East Ruscom River Rd. was closed for several hours between 881 East Ruscom River Rd. and Essex County Rd. 42 while officers investigated the cause of the crash. The road was reopened around 11pm.
