Windsor police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a variety store near the downtown core.
Police say a man with a knife and his face covered entered the store on Erie St. near Goyeau St. Friday night and demanded money from an employee. The man ran away with some cash.
Investigators say a 35-year-old Windsor man was arrested on Tuesday on McKay Ave. just north of Tecumseh Rd.
He is charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, wearing a disguise with the intent to commit robbery, breach of recognizance, and breach of probation.
