Driver Runs Over Stop Sign, Hits House

A Lakeshore man is facing impaired driving charges after running over a stop sign and hitting a house.

The Ontario Provincial Police along with EMS and Lakeshore firefighters responded to the single-vehicle crash on Broadway St. in Lakeshore around 9:20pm on April 6.

OPP say the car ran over the stop sign at Broadway St. and Sixth St. before striking a house.

A 24-year-old Lakeshore man is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having a blood alcohol level of over 80 mg while in the care or control of a motor vehicle.

He will appear in a Windsor court in May.
