Windsor Doctor Resigns After Professional Misconduct Charges

A Windsor doctor is resigning from practice after being found guilty of professional misconduct by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The college conducted an investigation into Dr. Robert Steward Cameron's general practice and found Cameron had a tendency to prescribe narcotics at high doses.

An expert found Cameron's care of his patients fell below the standard of practice in 18 of 24 patient charts examined.

Cameron works out of a clinic on Sandwich St. His resignation comes into effect on April 30, 2018, after 40 years practicing in Windsor.
