UPDATE: Windsor Regional Hospital Security Issue Resolved

Officials at Windsor Regional Hospital says the security issue they alerted the public about Monday morning has been "resolved".

The hospital took the rare step of issuing a security alert after a man acting strangely visited the Emergency Department several times over the weekend.

The alert was sent out Monday morning along with photos of the man in question.

It says 46-year-old Craig Barton does not live in the Windsor-Essex area. He is from the Toronto region.

"Mr Barton attended each of our EDs over the past weekend multiple times and exhibited behaviour that we are concerned for him and our staff. He did not stay in the EDs long enough for us to intervene," says the alert. "At this point, he has not shown to be violent but is not rational in his approach."
