Teens Report Sexual Assault After Meeting With Men From Social Media

Windsor police are reminding young teens and parents about the dangers of meeting people online after three young women were reportedly sexually assaulted.

Police were called to an apartment on Sandwich St. around 3pm Sunday to check on the well being of three young females. They were seen on a balcony and appeared to be intoxicated. A witness saw them being pulled back into the apartment by an older male.

The three females in their early teens told police they had been sexually assaulted.

Two males in the apartment were arrested. Police discovered that one of the men started a conversation with one of the girls on social media a couple weeks prior. The men then arranged to meet the teens and bring them back to their apartment where the reported offences took place.

Kendel Dumercy, 23, is charged with three counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference.

Jean Syla, 24, is charged with three counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual interference and two counts of invitation to sexual touching.
