Driver Flees, Leaves Behind Passenger After Crash

Police have arrested a man after a vehicle crashed into a Windsor home, leaving behind an injured passenger.

The Windsor Police Service says on Thursday around 8pm, the silver car struck a house on Dufferin Pl. near Shepherd St. E.  When officers arrived, the male driver had already fled the scene, but a female passenger remained with the vehicle.

The woman was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the investigation is still in its early stages.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
