The City of Windsor will turn on the lights in Jackson Park for the last time Tuesday night.
Take down of the festival displays and lighting will start first thing Wednesday.
"The first things that come down are the display units and then we go through all the other pieces including the lights and the cords and all of those things. The large tree may be last to come out cause that has to be taken down piece by piece," says Jan Wilson, corporate leader for Parks, Recreation, Culture and Facilities for the City of Windsor.
Wilson says it's hard to say exactly how many people visited the six week event but they are very pleased with the feedback they've been getting so far. She estimates there were crowds of 2,000-3,000 people on each weekend night throughout the festival.
Wilson says they city will be conducting a debriefing of the festival to determine what can be done better for next year.
"We'll be looking at all the factors as part of our debrief and our recommendations for next year's event and that would include talking to the surrounding businesses and getting their feedback as well," says Wilson.
City council has already committed $3-million to the festival next year.
