The Leaming fire department says on Thursday around 3:54pm, firefighters responded to a building on Talbot St. E near Victoria Ave. after a fire broke out in a kitchen.
Paramedics to one person to hospital to be treated for minor smoke inhalation.
The fire caused around $500 in damage, which was contained to the oven.
Fire officials say the fire was caused by unattended cooking.
