Arrest Made In Islam-Themed Graffiti Spree

Windsor police have made an arrest in connection to a rash of Islam-themed graffiti that was sprayed throughout downtown Windsor Wedesnday.

An employee of a downtown business on Chatham St. called police Friday afternoon for a suspicious person that matched the description of the male suspect.

Around noon, officers attended the scene and arrested the person without incident.

A 52-year-old man from Windsor is facing numerous counts of mischief.

The graffiti, found on bus shelters and businesses along Ouellette Ave. read "Islam kills drug dealers" and quoted a Bible verse.
