Police Investigating After Man Shot In The Hand

The Windsor Police Services Major Crimes Branch is investigating a shooting in the west end of the city over the weekend.

Police say a 22-year-old man was reportedly walking in an alleyway near Felix Ave. and Mill St. just after midnight Sunday morning, when a dark-coloured vehicle pulled up alongside him.

Words were exchanged between the man and people in the vehicle before the passenger pointed a gun at him and shot him in the hand.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to give the Major Crimes Unit a call at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830. Crime Stoppers will also take anonymous tips at 519-258-8477, and information can be submitted online at www.catchcrooks.com.
