Thousands of residents in LaSalle and Amherstburg experienced a significant power outage Wednesday night.
Around 6,000 Essex Powerlines customers experienced the outage starting at around 6pm.
The cause of the outage is listed as "loss of supply" and the hydro company has dispatch crews to resolve the issue.
LaSalle residents on Wales St., Ramblewood Dr., Malden Rd. Normandy St. and Gaylord Ave. had their power restored just after 9pm. Power was later restored for Amherstburg residents on Sandwich St. at around 10:15pm.
