Windsor Man Recovering From Hypothermia

A man from Windsor is recovering from hypothermia, and an Australian man is missing after a canoe capsized in Tobermory.

The canoe capsized around 3pm Thursday, near the Grotto in Georgian Bay. Neither of the passengers was wearing a life jacket.

The 25-year-old man from Windsor was able to swim to shore. He was transported to a local hospital and has since been released.

The Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team, OPP helicopter, the Bruce Peninsula OPP Auxiliary Unit, the Tobermory Coast Guard and the fire department will continue the search for the missing 22-year-old from Queensland, Australia on Friday.
