Flying Low: CAF Exercises Over Windsor This Week

You might see helicopters flying low over the City of Windsor this week.

The city is welcoming back the Canadian Armed Forces for a second round of flying training exercises on Wednesday and Thursday.

CH-146 Griffon helicopters will fly north from Windsor International Airport to the riverfront, west to Ouellette Ave. and over the Chrysler building.

You might see the helicopters flying between 5pm and 7pm and from 10pm to midnight both days.

Urban flight training is carefully planned and closely controlled for public safety. It provides military men and women valuable training.

The CAF was in Windsor for similar training in 2011.
