According to the Windsor Police Service, the fire was reported just before 3pm, Wednesday. Fire officials say the flames were out as of 5pm.
Five people have been displaced as a result of the fire, but no one was injured.
Fire officials say the blaze was accidental and was caused by unattended cooking.
Total damage to the home and its contents is estimated at around $180,000.
