The company says the outage was mostly concentrated around the University of Windsor area.
Enwin was able to get hydro back for about 700 customers by 9:10am, and then says power was completely restored in the affected area by 10am.
The cause is suspected to be a defective piece of overhead equipment, which the company has now removed from service for inspection.
