Windsor-Essex Pediatric Care Getting A Lift

WE Care For Kids is donating $405,000 to pediatric care programs in Windsor-Essex.

Board of directors Chair Liz Arkinstall says that includes more than just handing money to Windsor Regional Hospital, Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare and Leamington District Memorial Hospital.

"We also recently built the WE Care For Kids House, which is a mental health facility," she explains. "Funding also goes to John McGivney, the Windsor Therapeutic Riding Association. So it can go towards equipment, it can go towards programming."

This year's fundraising campaign started back in May, and wrapped up with an event held Friday at the Caboto Club.

Arkinstall says you can get involved with WE Care For Kids all year round at wecareforkids.org.
