Police are investigating following a fatal industrial accident at R.J. Cyr Company in Maidstone.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday around 4pm, a 51-year-old worker was struck by a large steel beam that reportedly weighed around 1,200 lbs.
EMS and Tecumseh firefighters attended the site located at 5015 Concession 8, and the man was rushed to hospital. He has since succumbed to his injuries.
Police say the man's name is not being released until his next of kin has been notified.
The Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident.
