One Arrested In Early Morning Stabbing

A 34-year-old Windsor man is charged with aggravated assault among other charges for allegedly stabbing a man.

The Windsor Police Service reports at about 3:20am, officers responded to a hospital after getting a call letting them know about a patient who had suffered significant stab wounds.

Police met with the 42-year-old victim and his friend at the hospital.

Police say the pair were at a home in the 500-block of Riverdale Ave. when a man forced his way into the house. The suspect is known to the victim.

The two men fought at which point the victim suffered his stab wounds while his friend had something thrown towards her.

Officers were able to find their suspect in the 1900-block of Bernard Rd. and arrested him without incident.

The victim is still in hospital suffering serious injuries.
