The Caldwell First Nation is celebrating its repatriation to the land at its first ever Pow Wow in Leamington.
"It kind of represents coming back to the land," says Assistant to the Pow Wow Coordinator Isabel Lewis. "We've purchased land here, and it's kind of repatriating us back where we came from originally."
The event is being held at 444 Bevel Ln, near Seacliff Dr. E Friday and Saturday. It starts at 4pm, but the grand entry is at 7pm Friday. On Saturday, it runs from 11am to 10pm.

Lewis says everyone is invited.
"It's a social gathering, so all nations will be there," she says. "There's a Syrian refugee youth group coming."
She says about 6,000 people are coming from as far away as Wisconsin, Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan.
The event also boasts 62 food and craft vendors.
Admission is $5, but it's free for children under 12-years and those over 65.
