Another Possible Threat Made At Walkerville High School

Windsor police are investigating another possible threat at the high school in Walkerville.

The Windsor Police Service says the anonymous threat of was written on property at Walkerville Collegiate Institute and was discovered on Wednesday. The threat infers violence will occur at the school on Thursday. Police say an investigation is ongoing and no other specifics about the possible threat are being released at this time.

Police are working with the school and the Greater Essex County District School Board on a joint response for dealing with the incident.

Officers will be patrolling the school and surrounding area on Thursday as a precaution.

Parents with students at Walkerville Collegiate Institute are being contacted by the school's principal to ensure they are aware of the situation.

The same secondary school was also put on high alert at the beginning of May, when a poem found on an mobile app called Whisper was perceived as a threat.
