Tribunal Clears Windsor Lawyer

A Windsor lawyer, who faced suspension, can keep her practice.

Maria Francis Marusic was being investigated along with her former partner, Claudio Martini.

Martini faces allegations he used millions of dollars in client's money inappropriately and is under investigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada. Marusic was accused of co-signing cheques with Martini and brought before the Law Society Tribunal a year ago.

On April 8, at a hearing in Toronto, the Tribunal ordered the motion to suspend her license be dismissed on the condition Martini not be allowed in the office of Marusic Law.
