The union that represents 62 frontline workers at the Windsor Public Library says it has a tentative deal.
Officials from CUPE Local 2067 and the library met with a provincial mediator Wednesday ahead of Thursday's deadline for a work stoppage. A release from CUPE describes it as "a marathon bargaining meeting."
"We are relieved that we were able to reach a tentative agreement, and our members will continue to provide library services that our community rely on," says CUPE 2067 spokeswoman Amanda Meloche.
Meloche says a date for a ratification vote has been set but declined to say when or where.
Details of the agreement won't be released until members can review and vote on the tentative contract.
