Transit System Benefits From UPass

Improvements to the entire Transit Windsor system could be on the horizon with students at the University of Windsor approving a universal bus pass.

Director of Operations Pat Delmore says transit could become a more viable option for others to commute once the university ridership gets on board.

"When you increase ridership it gives you a lot more options as far as how you manage the transit system with regards to increase frequency and taking people where they want to go," says Delmore.

Delmore says starting in September they will be watching ridership closely and will add buses on an as needed basis.

Another benefit for Transit Windsor will be having a fixed revenue source for the next three years as they set the budget.
