The inaugural flight to Orlando from Windsor International Airport airport took off this afternoon.
National Airlines will leave from Windsor to Orlando twice a week on Sundays and Thursdays.
Don Hunt, father of two on his way to Florida, says this morning's preparations were much calmer then on previous trips from Detroit.
"We would usually take an early flight around [6am] so we wouldn't get too much sleep the night before and usually arrive exhausted. So this time we were able to sleep in a little bit and we'll be well rested when we get to Florida," says Hunt.
Tickets on National Airlines to Orlando cost around $190 taxes and fees included.
