Windsor Pharmacist Charged With Fraud

Provincial police have charged a Windsor pharmacist for allegedly defrauding the Ontario Drug Benefit Plan out of $116,336.

Ahmed Al Tamimi, 71, owns Tamimi Pharmacy on Tecumseh Rd. W.

He's accused of billing the provincial drug benefit plan for tens of thousands in drugs that were never actually dispensed to patients.

He's charged with fraud over $5,000 and will appear in court November 25.
