Liberals Nominate Dave Sundin In Windsor West

The federal election race in Windsor West now has a Liberal candidate, Dave Sundin.

Sundin was acclaimed at last night's nomination meeting at the Caboto Club, and he's not surprised he was the only candidate for the nomination.

"There was a lot of speculation about a couple of star candidates and that scared away a lot of other potential candidates," he says.

Sundin admits it'll be tough to beat incumbent NDP MP Brian Masse, but says his strategy involves knocking on a lot of doors in the riding and getting his party's message out.

"What my challenges are? Well, it's going to be taking on an entrenched incumbent, and I'm going to have to focus on the fact that the NDP have not delivered anything to Windsor-West."

In addition to Masse, Sundin's also running against Henry Lau, the Conservative Party candidate.
