Traffic Changes In Kingsville

Kingsville's updating its traffic bylaws and installing new calming measures in certain areas of town.

Mayor Nelson Santos says "speed humps" are being installed for the first time. "Commuters have been using Lakeview, which is a quiet residential street, as a short cut to get around the downtown area and the neighbours were really concerned about the speed that they were travelling at."

Santos says the town's also changed the speed limit on a stretch of Road 3 E. It's down from 80 km/hr to 60 km/hr, which is consistent with the rest of the road.

And finally, School buses will no longer be able to park in residential areas for more than five hours or overnight.
