More FINA Funding Coming

Windsor is getting another big boost to host the world swimming championships, this time from the federal government.

Minister of State (Sport) Bal Gosal says the feds are committing $3.5-million to Swimming Canada to be used for the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships.

Earlier this year, the provincial government forked over $2.5-million for the international event.

Windsor will host the FINA World Swimming Championships from December 6-11 2016 at the WFCU Centre.
