Canadian border guards have seized a large quantity of suspected cocaine with a street value of nearly $5-million.

Three duffel bags with 52 bricks of suspected cocaine were found at the Ambassador Bridge on Monday.

The Canadian Border Services Agency says a commercial truck and trailer was sent to secondary inspection.

After a search, officers found 52 kg worth of suspected cocaine in the storage area of the truck.

The drugs were seized and a 26-year-old was arrested, who was then turned over to the RCMP.

The Scarborough man is being charged with importing cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He is scheduled to appear in a Windsor court on August 4.
