Standoff In Walkerville Ends

A brief standoff in Walkerville has ended peacefully with one man in custody.

Windsor police were dispatched to the 1400-block of Windermere Rd. Thursday afternoon.

Police say they were investigating a "threat" call when a man wouldn't leave a home after repeated attempts by police.

At one point, an officer approached the house with his hands up.

Several paramedics and firefighters were also on standby down the street as a precaution.
