Labour Council Campaign Targeting Harper

New Windsor and District Labour Council President Brian Hogan is ready to hit the ground running in his new role.

The first order of business is to begin campaigning against Prime Minister Stephen Harper leading up to the expected fall federal election.

"It's all about our country has had enough of Harper. Our region has had enough of Harper," says Hogan. "Our unemployment rate, not securing manufacturing jobs, I mean losing those Ford jobs, got to be blamed on Harper."

Hogan says the campaign will start out at the grassroots level before flyers and TV ads come out later in the campaign.

He takes over the presidency from Unifor Local 200 President Chris Taylor. Hogan also serves as president of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association local Windsor-Essex secondary unit.
