Police were forced to close part of Front Rd. after a large marsh fire started in LaSalle.
The LaSalle Fire Service says on Sunday around 5pm, police and fire crews responded to the blaze in the 2900-block of Front Rd. between Acali Marina and the Essex Region Conservation Authority boardwalk.
Fire officials say all exposed areas were protected from the fire and no damage was caused. There were also no injuries.
Police closed the southbound lane of Front Rd. for about an hour while firefighters were at the scene.
