New Site To Attract Newcomers

A new website meant to attract immigrants to Windsor-Essex is ready for launch.

The County of Essex and Workforce Windsor-Essex partnered to put the immigration site together with the help of a $132,000 grant from the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration.

"It's a one-stop shop," says Michelle Beemer with Workforce Windsor-Essex. "They can see everything our community has in order to make their transition better and why they should choose to move to our community here in Windsor-Essex County."

The site was presented to Essex County Council with CAO Brian Gregg stressing the importance of attracting newcomers to the region to grow the labour market.
