The Ontario Fire Marshal's office and the Windsor police arson unit are investigating a commercial fire on Wyandotte St. E.
Windsor fire says the blaze caused $300,000 in damage to two businesses in the 1100 block of Wyandotte St. E. It happened Tuesday at around 7:15pm.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire. Nobody was injured.
John Lee with Windsor Fire and Rescue Services says flames were flaring out of the front windows of the May Court Resale Shop when crews arrived. The May Court Bargain Box next door also suffered substantial damage while Joe’s Barber Shop on the other side of the resale shop had minor smoke damage. Apartments behind the building were not damaged by the fire.
