Habitat For Humanity's 57th Home

The McKinnis family has been awarded Habitat For Humanity's latest house project.

Executive Director Mike Van der Vlist says this home has some alterations made for one of the children who have special needs. "From the changes in the smoke alarms to having certain windows installed, to sensor taps to a fence going up."

The family, who has six children, were visibly emotional during the presentation in which they received the home. "As they sat there and said their thank yous, you could see their eyes swell up because this changes things for them and their children," says Van der Vlist.

This is the fourth home Windsor-Essex Habitat For Humanity has built in 14 months.
