Transit Windsor riders can expect to see a few shiny new buses on the streets.
Six new clean-diesel buses have been purchased.
Transit Windsor General Manager Penny Williams says this will replace the older buses that are between 23 and 28 years old.
"We are working towards getting rid of our older high-floor buses and providing more buses that have the accessibility features we know are proven to help the mobility of the seniors and the disabled community," says Williams.
Transit Windsor is asking the federal government for $7.4-million to cover half the cost of 38 additional new buses.
