Nearly a dozen Sarnia Sting players will be taking part in NHL rookie camps this year.
A total of 11 Sting will participate in nine development camps, including many that get going during the Canada Day long weekend.
Ty Voit and Nolan Dillingham will hit the ice on Monday for day one of the Maple Leafs' rookie camp. The Boston Bruins' camp, which also gets underway Monday, will feature Ryan Mast and Ethan Ritchie.
Goaltender Ben Gaudreau will be between the pipes at the Tampa Bay Lightning's camp beginning Sunday. Gaudreau was invited to the Bolts' camp earlier in the week. The Columbus Blue Jackets' camp, featuring Luca Del Bel Belluz, also gets going July 2.
Ethan Del Mastro is taking part in the Chicago Blackhawks' camp, alongside first overall pick Connor Bedard. That camp got underway Friday.
Dallas Stars draft pick Christian Kyrou will be action Saturday for day one the hockey club's camp. Nolan Burke also hits the ice on Saturday for the Nashville Predators' camp. Burke, who went undrafted, signed a three-year entry level deal with the Preds in November.
Other Sting players taking part in rookie camps include Sasha Pastujov -- Anaheim -- and Sandi Vilmanis -- Florida.
The Sting's three overage players from this past season, Burke, Dillingham and Ritchie, are ineligible to return to the OHL for the upcoming season.
