Imperials win second OP5FL championship

The Sarnia Imperials are back-to- back champions of the Ontario Power 5 Football League (OP5FL).

The club hosted the Burlington Longhorns at Norm Perry Park Saturday and won 39-4.

During the inaugural season of the OP5FL, they won the championship against the Sudbury Spartans.

The Imperials were 8-0 being first in the league.

Formally the club was a part of the Northern Football Conference from 2006 to 2023.

In the clubs history, the Imperials appeared in three Grey Cup Championships winning twice in 1934 and 1936.
