Bulldogs double Sting 6-3 in Brantford

Despite getting on the board early and dominating play from the puck drop, the Sarnia Sting (9-11-0-0) suffered a 6-3 loss to the Bulldogs (7-7-3-1) in Brantford.

Sandis Vilmanis opened the scoring at just 2:56 in the first period.  Tyson Doucette and Sean Doherty also scored for Sarnia.

The teams were tied 3-3 going into the third period, where Brantford would score three unanswered goals for the win.

Sarnia goalie Karsen Chartier made 32 saves in the loss. The Bulldogs outshot the Sting 38-21.

It was the club's first game without Assistant Coach Brent Sullivan who announced on Wednesday he was stepping down from his role.

The Sting are home to Owen Sound Friday night at Progressive Auto Sales Arena. You can catch the game live on 103.9FM/1070AM CHOK.
