A Sarnia-native playing college-ball down south, has been named a Lone State Conference All-Academic.
Mat Szabo is a pitcher for the Angelo State Rams, an NCAA Division II team in San Angelo, Texas.
Szabo, 23, appeared in 10 games this season for the Rams, posting a record of 3-2, an ERA of 3.51 and a WHIP of 1.13 in 25.2 innings pitched.
The Northern Collegiate graduate was also named to the Academic All-District Team in 2020 as a member of the Young Harris Mountain Lions.
