Aamjiwnaang's Jackson helps Boston win MLL championship

Aamjiwnaang's Kyle Jackson and the Boston Cannons captured the Major League Lacrosse championship on Sunday, with a 13-10 victory over the Denver Outlaws in Annapolis, Maryland.

It was a shortened season for the MLL because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Play didn't begin until July 18, and two teams were forced to withdraw because of positive COVID tests.

The Cannons finished with a record of 4-2.

Entering the championship game, Jackson had five goals and two assists.
