Sting acquire goaltender from Saginaw

The Sarnia Sting have added a new goaltender to the hockey club's roster.

Sarnia Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair announced on Wednesday that 18-year old goaltender Cameron Lamour from the Saginaw Spirit would be coming to play for the Sting, in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick in 2021 and a conditional fifth-round selection in 2022.

“Cameron is a young goaltender we feel still has a lot to prove in this league and we are excited to add him to our hockey club,” said Sinclair in a news release.

Lamour, a Naughton, Ontario native, was originally selected in the third round (53rd overall) in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.  He has appeared in 31 OHL games and is in his second full Ontario Hockey League season.
