Greyhounds Edge Sting 6-5

The Sarnia Sting lost their fourth straight game on Friday, falling 6-5 to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at the Essar Centre.

The Sting were first to score with a goal by Drake Rymsha 5:28 into the game, but the Greyhounds followed up with two back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 lead.  Anthony Salinitri scored for Sarnia late in the frame to tie things at 2-2, but Sault Ste. Marie scored again to retake the lead going into the second.

Franco Sproviero kicked off the second frame for Sarnia with a goal to tie the game once again, but the Greyhounds answered with two of their own to make it 5-3.

Jeff King scored for the Sting 2:55 into the final period, however, the Greyhounds scored once again for a 6-4 lead. In the final three minutes of the game, Rymsha scored his second of the night to put Sarnia within one point, but it wasn't enough to catch up to the Greyhounds.

Sault Ste. Marie also outshot Sarnia 45-27 in their win.

The Sting head to Flint on Saturday to take on the Firebirds at 7pm.
